Awhile ago, I faced a major decision and could not seem to settle it in my mind and heart. But finally I made the right choice before God, and had peace.
However, I did not feel very joyful or excited about the changes I would have to make because of this decision. I wanted the whole package: peace and joy wrapped up with a bow!
A godly friend gave me this good advice: “As long as you have peace before God about this, then He will unfold the joy for you, bit by bit, as days go by.”
These true and helpful words helped me to relax and trust God with the process. My cup of joy began –bit by bit - to fill and overflow.
The apostle Paul wrote these words:
“Let the peace of Christ, the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him, be the controlling factor in your hearts, deciding and settling questions that arise.”
( Colossians 3:15 AMP)
May His peace be the controlling factor in your life during these days.
