City at Night
The urban lights
Look like ground-stars
Slipped from the sky
To hang on rooftops.
Pinpoints of brightness
Scattered on the black-ridged velvet
Of building silhouettes.
Silent stars, they twinkle
To background sounds
Of trucks honking, and cars humming,
And some mysterious murmurs.
City life at night:
A painting and a song.
