Now I would like to highlight people I consider to be heroes in our current culture and world situation. In 2020, the world began to experience a pandemic. Governments reacted with various restrictions based on what they called science.
Because of people’s access to worldwide media sources, opinions abounded and still do. Some felt so strongly about the research and results they saw as valid, that they were willing to lose jobs, relationships, professional careers, and social status because of their viewpoints.
This is not an exhaustive heroes list, but it is mine. In no particular order:
Suspended University of Guelph professor, Dr. Byron Bridle
University of Western Ontario former ethics professor Julie Ponnese
Dr. Joseph Mercola, MD
Dr. Jordan Peterson, former University of Toronto psychology professor
Liberty Coalition
Covid Care Alliance
Pastors Mike Thiessen and Jacob Reaume
Commentators Matt Hallick, Andrew DeBartolo, and Tim Tyso
The law abiding, tax-paying truckers who staged a peaceful demonstration in Ottawa, but were maligned and misrepresented by government-funded media reports.
Physicians and other medical personnel who have lost their rights to work.
People in other lines of employment who have also lost their rights to work.
University and college students who have been barred from campus for not following restrictions.
Sometimes heroes are not recognized until some time has passed and the truth becomes clear to honest historians. Perhaps this will be the case for these brave ones.
