You may have heard this story before, but it bears repeating…
I was almost 9 months pregnant with our 4th child, at the “large and lumbering” stage. On my way to an appointment, I stopped for tea at a mall food court. It was a sunken area, with plants, out of the way of mall foot traffic.
Suddenly, but quietly, a young man came and stood by my table.
He spoke: “When was the last time someone said you are absolutely gorgeous?”
I looked into his eyes for signs of drug use. None. Gladly, someone must have instilled in him the beauty of a pregnant woman.
He walked away, mission accomplished I guessed.
Here are some recent glimpses of beauty, not just visual…
The giggles and gleeful faces of our two youngest granddaughters when Grandpa kissed me goodbye one day
The large solemn eyes of a grandchild as she declares her opinions
The hospital custodian humming hymns while she worked
The sparkling eyes of a grandchild catching a frog
The sound of driveway gravel crunching when a vehicle returns safely with loved ones
