                                       The Trusting Heart

Corrie ten Boom spent miserable, difficult days in concentration camps during World War II as a punishment for protecting Jews from the Nazis.

As a young girl in Holland, she could not have imagined this suffering she would experience as an adult.

Yet she still wondered what the future would hold and if she would have the strength she needed. She asked her godly father. He said,

“When we are going on a train trip, when do I give you the ticket you need?”

Corrie replied, “When we board the train!”

And he said, “So it is with our heavenly Father. He gives us the grace we need at the time we truly need it.”

Sometimes using our imaginations can help us to trust God. I see myself boarding a “train” of trial and putting out my hand in trust for my heavenly Father to give me the “ticket” of His grace, strength, and wisdom for the ride.

Corrie later made this comment: “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”
